Ossetian truth about three genocides, organized by Georgians towards South Ossetians is hard to swallow for Bush’s administration and the others. Nevertheless, it’s impossible to rewrite the history.

Kahetian Ossetians are the special pages of this history.

Mzia Hubulova, born in 1972, tells:

- I have left Kahetia in 1989. Our village in Kahetia was purely Ossetian. There were not less than 16 purely Ossetian villages in Ahmedsky district of Georgia. It is already closer to gorge Pankisskoje.

That year I graduated from a secondary school and my parents sent me to study in Vladikavkaz, to Northern Ossetia. That time Gamsahurdia`s fascist slogans: “Georgia for Georgians”, “Ossetians are garbage, get out away from here” and so on openly sounded everywhere. In Tbilisi people supported Gamsahurdia, but people in remote places didn’t. And then in this fascist surge they invaded in Tskhinval.

I want to emphasize, that Kahetian Georgians were then against those who came from Tbilisi. They did not want war, they wanted the peace. The war is not necessary to ordinary people. For a shot time Kahetian Georgians from the next villages managed to resist the emissaries from Tbilisi. That’s why my parents still hoped that everything would be turned out somehow. They did not want to go away from Kahetia, to leave their house-keeping, the manor house, the vineyard... The grandfather together with the grandmother especially wanted to hear nothing about any departure. But the situation became worse and worse. As a result, gradually, within several years, everyone had to move here, to Northern Ossetia.

Now there are very few Ossetians live in Kahetia. These people have no places where to go.

We managed to sell our house in Kahetia only one year ago. The Ossetians already sold their houses in the village for nothing. Of course, Georgians occupied these houses. Georgians, who went down from the mountains, bought these Ossetian houses. Our house was empty, without care. They were driving the cattle there, direct in the house. All of us tried to sell the house from here. As a result we have hardly sold it for 2 thousand dollars. It’s about 50 thousand roubles. We could buy nothing for this money here. Our house was very big there. There was large garden, a kitchen garden, a vineyard… My parents live now in Yugnij in the derelict Ingush house. I and my two children (one of them is invalid) live in misery in different apartments for many years. They say about any certificates on apartments, but they give them on one in a year for republic. And the list of refugees which wait for an apartment consists of 4 thousand persons.

Many people from Northern Ossetia went there to have a rest in the summer. For two weeks before war my neighbor together with her child went for a rest to the relatives, which lived in Caspian district of Georgia. Her child was ill, and it’s a fresh air there. Only the day before yesterday they managed to get out of there. They were getting out through the woods, as they could. They have employed a guide. Now their child is frightened. They had been just close to Gory, where the Georgian military bases were bombed, they deserved it for their intrusion into South Ossetia. The child heard this and was very frightened. Now he names planes “bombolets”. If the plane flies, he shouts: “Bombolet! Bombolet!” And he is hiding. And he cries very often. Their flat is next to mine. At night I hear how the child cries in a dream. Here it is…
