14.04.2009 23:19 | He Was Shot in a Court Yard of His House
7-year-old Alan and three-month-old Milena lost their father's love and care in result of Georgian aggression. Georgian invaders shot their father Vilen Chibirov in cold blood at his native house.
Vilen was 33 years old, he graduated from sports faculty of SOSU. For some years he was carrying out his service in a home guard. On the eve of the military operations, on August, 7, he sent his wife and two children to Vladikavkaz, and defending his native town he took up arms. His father Valiko and mother Nazi Bekoeva-Chibirova stayed in Vladikavkaz. Chibirovs family lived in the end of
in the area of school ¹12. After heavy preparatory bombardment the Georgian military hardware and infantry invaded there. On August, 9 Georgian army, being turned out the day before, entered city again. They took the residents of two-storied building hostage, there were Vilen`s parents among the hostages. As black-robed Vilen`s mother Nazi tells, her son mounted guard from the beginning of Georgian aggression and she took cover in a basement together with her husband and the neighbours. Firstly we were hiding out from the bombardments and then - from enemy tanks, which having entered the city fired at the apartment houses.
On August, 9 Chibirov`s house lighted up after the hit of a shell. At this time 15 armed to the teeth Georgians occupied a half of the two-storied building, they found a basement, where four women and three men, the retiree mainly, were hidden. Georgians ordered everybody to hold up their hands and walk up. “There was nothing else to do but to leave the shelter, - recollects Nazi with a heavy heart. - They said that the car will drive into and take us away to Georgia. We were standing in the entrance when Georgians began to shoot at our house. We realized that they killed someone. Soon our guys started to surround our building occupied by Georgians. The fight started and they had already no time for us. We made use of it and went down in a basement again”.
After a while, when the enemy forces were ousted from the city, the residents of the building went out from a shelter. “Having left a basement I decided to sit at the threshold for some reason, - Nazi Chibirova continues. - My husband and other neighbors went out and in a few minutes they returned with downcast eyes. Valiko tried not to look at me. The neighbors told me, that Georgians killed one of our guys in the court yard of his house. I asked if they really didn’t know who it was, as our city was small and everybody knew each other. When I saw my husband’s tearful eyes I realized that the killed man was my son…” - Vilen`s mother recollecting these events couldn’t hold back a tear.
Having learned his flat was burning Vilen rushed home. He didn’t know that there were armed Georgians in the building and when he entered the court yard they killed him brutally. Later, during the military operation Vladik Gazzaev and Viktor Tadtaev, the citizen soldiers, were killed there too.
Vilen Chibirov was buried in North Ossetia.
